Mark Baker

After graduating college with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics Mark pursued a career in the field of Actuarial Sciences for over 20 years with a variety of companies in the fields of Insurance and Reinsurance.  During the time he was instrumental in numerous company startups working for Citicorp, the Zurich Financial Services group and Benfield Blanch.    Since moving from NY to southern VT in 2003 Mark has operated and independent financial consulting firm providing financial modeling and analytical support for a wide variety of industries.  Mark now splits his time between teaching at Mount Snow and pursuing his various musical interests.  Mark is an accomplished violinist playing an eclectic mix of music with a local trio as well as participating in a latin jazz ensemble out of the Vermont Jazz Center.  He also sings with his band and with the Keene Pops choir.  Mark lives in Putney VT with his wife,   3 dogs, 2 horses.
