I have a master’s degree in secondary school English education from The College of William & Mary and undergraduate degrees in English and Psychology from University of Rochester. I have taught high school and middle school English, writing, and English as a second language. I especially love teaching writing, American literature, and poetry.
I grew up in Poughkeepsie, New York, and lived for many years in West Chester, PA. My husband and I live in West Wardsboro, and we have four children. We have a house in Maine where we love to hike, kayak, golf, explore the coast, and eat lobster.
I also enjoy reading, cooking and knitting, and I always have some sort of project in progress at home. My favorite authors are F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Faulkner, Toni Morrison, and James Joyce. I think winter in Vermont is a wonderland and I try to spend as much time as possible outside, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and downhill skiing, albeit conservatively…
Thank you to the amazing students and staff of Mount Snow Academy for welcoming me into such a vibrant, impressive community of learners!
