B.A. Bennington College, Literature
A 20+ year Vermont resident with roots in the South and Texas, I work part of the year as a Tour Director, leading groups of students and Seniors from the US and abroad throughout the United States. I’ve taught in a variety of classroom settings, including a psychiatric hospital, an independent urban school for at-risk students, a traditional public school, and ski academies for college-bound student athletes; I love sharing new literature and old with my students and working with them on the writing process, no matter at what stage they currently find themselves. I enjoy travel, reading, writing essays and short stories, gardening, and family. I have two grown children, Gabriel and Avi, and an adorable grandson, named Milo for the journeying protagonist of The Phantom Tollbooth—a fact that warms this English teacher GranMum’s heart. I’m looking forward to a great season, full of challenges, successes, and camaraderie, working with everyone at Mount Snow Academy.
