Winter Academy for Alpine, Freeskiing and Snowboarding

Admission

Application Information

MSA focuses on the growth and development of student-athletes in an intimate and supportive community. Given our small size, we are uncommonly flexible in meeting the specific needs of our students and their families. The strongest applicants are self-directed and motivated, both in the classroom and on the mountain. They have a passion for their sport and a desire to test and reach their potential both on snow and in the class room.

Mount Snow Academy accepts students/athletes on a rolling admissions basis for grades 6 to 12. Contact us any time and we would be delighted to answer questions and arrange for a visit. Coming to visit on a Tuesday or Thursday during the season is highly recommended.  This allows potential students (parents are welcome too) the opportunity to sit in on classes, and then to ski or ride with an MSA coach, meet other students, participate in dry land training, visit the A-House (the MSA residence) and meet the houseparents.  Contact Lynne Sullivan, Head of School, to arrange your visit.  Please allow at least one week’s notice when planning your trip.

Our application deadline is May 1st. Applications and recommendations will be considered on a rolling admissions basis, so file your application as early as possible. After we receive all application materials, we will notify you within four weeks. Applications received after May 1st will be considered on a space available basis.

Application Requirements Include:
