I earned my BA in Psychology from Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vermont in 1991 and began my teaching career at Mount Snow Academy in 1999. At MSA, my responsibilities include teaching AP Psychology, Intro. to Psychology and Music classes. I also provide one to one counseling with students who are in need of extra support. I am the executive director of the Brattleboro Pastoral Counseling Center; in addition to my duties as director, I am the Center’s mediator. I also serve on the public safety committee for the town of Putney.
I am a lifelong artist and musician and live in Putney, VT. When I’m not working, I can be found playing the upright bass in my band or my banjo at area contra dances and jams. I also give private banjo lessons to people in my home. I enjoy donating jewelry and artwork to MSA’s annual fundraising event.
“Even though I have an hour commute to and from the mountain, I love the kids and the camaraderie between the teachers. I love when I am explaining a new concept to a student and they begin to really get it. I know I have done my job well that day.”
